Dr. Nicholas Jay

Dr. Jay grew up in Glendale and attended Ironwood High School. He lettered in both football and track, and was part of the athletic training club. Dr. Jay went on to play football at Glendale Community College for two years. While at G.C.C., Dr. Jay also continued his involvement with the sports medicine program. After finishing his pre-medical requirements at G.C.C., he was accepted to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon where he went on to receive his Bachelor and Doctorate degrees. While at Western States, Dr. Jay ran the sports medicine program for two out of the four years that he attended. This experience allowed him to work with many athletes from various sports. Some of these athletes were Olympic runners, Ironman Tri-athletes, and World Class Power Lifters. Dr. Jay had the honor of working with Dr. Ted Forcum, who is one of the chiropractors for the U.S. Olympic team middle and long distance runners. Dr. Jay continues to stay involved with sports medicine by being a volunteer for the Sunrise Mountain High School sports programs. He enjoys giving lectures for the health and sports medicine classes at Sunrise Mountain High School, and evaluating/treating various injured athletes that the training staff sends to the office. Each semester Dr. Jay takes in student interns from Sunrise who shadow him in the office and they learn about chiropractic care. In addition to having a background in sports medicine, Dr. Jay also is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. He enjoys working with children and babies. Chiropractic has great success treating childhood ailments such as infantile colic, ear pain or infection, bed wetting, asthma, and scoliosis just to name a few. Dr. Jay has established himself amongst the medical community in Northwest Phoenix area and receives many referrals from Obstetrics/Gynecologists, Neurologists, and Family Practice physicians. He feels very honored that these physicians trust him to provide chiropractic care to their patients. When Dr. Jay is not in the clinic treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, and hunting.
